Support Groups
Some of the hardest parts about living with ADHD can be the feeling of being alone, different, and/or misunderstood. Joining a support group can be an excellent antidote to these feelings. Hallowell ADHD Center Adult ADHD support groups provide a space for adults (age 20+)who would like to learn and share challenges and strategies. The group provides a great opportunity to connect with other adults with ADHD as well as a space to connect and learn from others working with the unique strengths and challenges of ADHD.
Together, we will explore how to tolerate discomfort. We will also build awareness of our gifts as well as our limitations. Concrete tools and strategies will be part of our weekly sessions. In addition, we will unpack what mindfulness can do to help us in our everyday struggles as well as our lifelong battles!
Enrollment is generally limited to 12.
Group members will participate in invaluable discussions on topics, including:
- Concrete strategies for organization, prioritizing, task completion and time management
- Integrating mindfulness into everyday activities
- Managing reactivity
- Locating strengths
- Handling interpersonal challenges
- Addressing negative self-talk
